Falling in Love with our Savior There is a stirring in the heavenlies in preparation for a move of God unlike anything this generation has ever seen. The ways we have known are changing and if we will listen to the voice of the Shepherd, we are moving steadily toward transformation into His image. Despite the failings of our leaders, both those in the secular world and the church, and despite the growing sins of this nation, the Savior, our Jesus, has His hands open to this nation. He is pouring out His Spirit upon us and very soon, just because of His mercy and love, a deep and profound sense of our great need to be cleansed of known and unknown sin will wash over us. A flood of conviction that will bring about a repentance revival is about to be released. At that moment in time we can say "Less of me Lord and more of YOU" and be launched into a brand new life full of truth and liberty, or we can choose to ignore the call to repentance and continue on our current course. That course is the way of the world, it is full of lies and leads us toward darkness. In general, the church does not embrace repentance. Some even find it offensive. Yet, it is foundational to every revival from the beginning of time. No matter how much it hurts to find out there are things in our lives that God hates, we must face those sins and REPENT knowing that we can be confident in our Savior's love. He stands ready to wash away those sins. He is calling us to Him out of His amazing grace ... the heigth, depth, breadth and width of His love is unfathomable to us.... None the less, His love pours out every day. He is the lover of our souls. He sticks closer to us than a brother. He wipes away our tears. His heart's desire is for us to come to Him. Just come exactly as we are. In His presence as we yield to Him in full repentance, we will find everything we need. Now that we have broken through to the time of New Beginning, the Lord has spoken to me that we must fall in love with Him all over again. False teachings, religious rules, doctrines, and dogmas of man are falling away and we are now more able to truly know HIM. So, take the time to search for Him, just like the Shulamite woman in the Song of Songs. Search His word, worship Him and pray - the reward will be His wonderful presence. It is time to stop seeking God outside His word. The presence of God is found in and through His Word. Fall in love all over again... "Be Mine" says the Lord Submitted by Rev. Cheryl Birch |
