| Why do you fear? It’s raining in here! Given 2-19-09 to Rev Cheryl Birch Why do you fear? It’s raining in here! It’s raining My presence, a rain full of joy A rain full of love that casts out the foe. Rely on me. Lift up your eyes to see I’m raining on you, so rejoice in Me. I’m right here. I am all that you need. Let my rain fall on your planted seed. Don’t cause a life of drought filled with worry and doubt by relying on self or the world’s pleasures It’s far better to seek heavenly treasures. Believe in Me. I’m the one who can set you free Free of all fear, doubt and worry Rest in Me, step out of life’s hurry I am a God of love, not of fretful fear Always remember that I keep you near. I keep you right here! (inferring His heart) Isaiah 35:1 - 10 (NKJV) 1The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; 2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God. 3 Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. 4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. 7 The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. 8 A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray. 9 No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 30:23 (NKJV) 23 Then He will give the rain for your seed With which you sow the ground, And bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed In large pastures. Philippians 4:4 - 7 (NKJV) 4Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Luke 12:4 - 7 (NKJV) 4“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! 6“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. You stand in the midst of a down pour of My Presence, yet you fear. Heaven is open over you. Take down your umbrella of fear, fretting and worry. Remove the rain hat of doubt and the raincoat of unbelief. Take off the rain boots of self reliance and stand in My heavy soaking rain of provision, favor and grace. For you have entered into a time of great favor and grace. Get soaked, get drenched to the core of your being with My rain of love, provision and caring. Cast off these works of darkness that keep you covered and feeling dry. Get wet! How do I do that you say? With the life giving flood of My Word in your life. With the lifting of your hands in praise and worship. With the flow of your prayers and conversations with Me. With your mind meditating on Me. Feel the rain. Get Wet! Romans 13:11 - 14 (NKJV) 11And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Isaiah 55:10 - 13 (NKJV) 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the LORD for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” Be at peace dear children, for I love you and I will provide for you. Not as the world provides, but out of My riches you will receive provision. Fix not your eyes on news of loss and disaster. Let not these reports pierce your hearts with fear. Be at peace for I love you. 1 John 4:17 - 19 (NKJV) 17Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19We love Him because He first loved us. Receive My perfect love, for it casts out all fear! It ends all torment! You see, my children, my dear ones, fear and worry and fretting are symptoms of lack of trust. You don’t trust and rely on me. You rely on yourself and structures of man. All of these can fail and fall, but I never fail and I pick you up when you fall. You are all mixed up and attribute to Me the heartaches you have experienced. You say in your heart, My God, how could you let this happen to me? You fear loss… but what is there of this world that is more precious than your walk with Me? Hebrews 13:5 - 6 5Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Change your mind about what is important in your life… choose to stand in My rain, be drenched with my thoughts and my ways. The earthly things, the comforts and pleasures are the empty calories and junk food of your life. If you desire true dessert, come to me for my presence is sweeter than honey…My presence is the sweetness you desire. 2 Timothy 1:6 - 7 6Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Eat a good meal – feast on my word. Let it nourish you, heal you, sustain you, set you free. Trust me! Proverbs 29:25 (NKJV) 25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe. Dance freely in my rain without your self reliant protective gear. Expose your weaknesses and fears to Me. Lean on Me and I will heal you. For I pour out My Spirit upon you constantly. There are streams of My presence running in the desert of your life…if only you will receive what I have for you, your desert shall bloom. Children, trust me, rely on Me. Repent now for doubt, unbelief and fear. Trust Me. Repent for self reliance and lean on Me! Trust me, I am right here! It’s raining in here, why do you fear? Proverbs 3:5 - 8 (NKJV) 5Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Romans 8:10 - 1 (NKJV) 10And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. Philippians 2:5 - 13 (NKJV) 5Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Luke 12:22 - 40 (NKJV) 22Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? 29“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. 32“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. |
